ANDERS IS COMING HOME - hopefully on Tuesday!

We just received word that Anders will be coming home on Tuesday as long as everything continues to go well. Mom, Dad, and some helpers are rushing to get "trained" on the oxygen and apnea monitors in preparation for his arrival.

Funny picture of Aaron, now weighing over 10lbs - looks like Dad needs to stop dressing him in newborn clothes. Mom is pretty sure this outfit isn't supposed to have 3/4 sleeves and capri styled bottoms.

Our Story

On December 4, 2009 Katie and Noah Berge found out that Katie was 9 weeks pregnant with TRIPLETS!!!!!!! About one month later our doctors discovered that the triplets shared a placenta...........IDENTICAL!!!!!!!!

Another month past by and we learned that they were boys!!!!!

As time went on and during frequent visits to the doctor it was made known to us that one of our little babies was not growing as fast as the others. Little baby C did not have a very good piece of the placenta and his prognosis was guarded.

Every week baby C continued to grow but was falling behind his brothers. On St. Patrick's Day Noah took Katie to the hospital because Katie was suffering from a terrible 2 day long migraine. After getting looked at by her doctors Katie was told that she was having contractions and was going to be admitted to the hospital just shy of 25 weeks into her pregnancy.

Katie was kept under a very watchful eye while under bed rest and exactly 3 weeks & 2 days after being admitted to the hospital a C-section was scheduled for Friday 4/9/10. It was decided that the risk for baby C saying inside the womb was greater that those risks of being born early.

On Friday, April 9, 2010 at 9:56am babies A, B and C arrived in order. Aaron Paul at 2 pounds 13 ounces, Asher John at 2 pounds 8 ounces and Anders Noah at 1 pound 7 ounces. Three little miracles!

The boys were taken to the NICU at Children's hospital where they will spend the next weeks growing up under the some of the best care possible.

Noah and Katie are overjoyed and extremely grateful for all of the prayer and support they have received from their friends and family. We will continue to update this site to share our journey with our loved ones.
