Another stable day – keep them coming!

Aaron continues to do very well despite a little diaper rash. He is still breathing on his own and is improving his digestion of breast milk. Dad got to hold him for the first time, he scared Mom half to death when he confidently just reached into the isolate and carried him over into the chair. They had tons of fun, Aaron lay calmly in Dad’s arms – yawned for a little bit and then he fell right asleep.

Asher is also doing a lot better today, he is moving closer to possibly removing his chest tube and transitioning to a less intense ventilator. His echocardiogram went well, they noticed a small hole but it is not large enough to treat so they are going to keep an eye on him and make sure it doesn’t get any bigger.

Anders is also continuing to do very well. He is having a little trouble with his blood sugar levels but is responding well to treatment and with a little assistance they are under control. He is doing VERY well with his breathing on the ventilator. His echocardiogram showed that he had a substantial hole so they are going to move forward with medication to try to close it up on his own. They said that they might let me get a chance to hole him tonight! It’s amazing how strong the little guy is, he is absolutely amazing!
